Flatlands Volunteer Ambulance will be hosting a Donor Registration drive on Sunday, February 20th, at our Headquarters, 4623 Avenue N, from 11 AM to 4 PM.
Similar to blood donations, bone marrow donations can save lives. Bone marrow, the part of the body that produces red blood cells, can be damaged by cancer or it’s treatment, such as chemotherapy or radiation.  There are registries that hold DNA information that can be used to find an appropriate match, collected by a simple swab inside the cheek.  Further information can be found on the attached flyer, or at the giftoflife.org website.
Please join us an help make a difference.

FVAC in conjunction with  New York Blood Center
with  will be hosting a

Blood Drive
Sunday January 16, 2022
from 11 Am  – 5 Pm
3000 Fillmore Ave  Brooklyn  NY 11229
at the Carro Center (round building) in Marine Park.

As you may have seen in news releases recently, the national and local blood centers are desperate for blood, the typical supply is now only about 1 day.
Due to Covid, the number of drives has been reduced, and there are less donors coming to the blood centers.

Hope to see you there.
